Venture Capital Watch: TCV Buys Into Xata in Near-PIPE

As Venture Capital firms continue to seek more stable, and sizeable, deals, Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) and Trident Capital have joined a private debt placement into public company, Xata Corp. Xata is a Minnesota-based truck fleet management company. Law firm representing Xata included Faegre & Benson, led by Michael Coddington. Working behalf of TCV was Peter Kirman of Latham & Watkins.
