ADS Sets Record Convention Attendance

Kansas City, Mo. – Sept. 8, 2011 – The Association of Diesel Specialist (ADS) hit record attendance numbers at the 2011 ADS International Convention & Tradeshow - "ADS A Sure Bet" - from August 2 – 6, in Las Vegas.

Attendees gathered to hear timely industry educational seminars, panel discussions and to partake in various networking  events. "We set new attendance records," says Rosemary Hall, director of meetings for ADS. "Attendance this year was the highest in over 20 years and the number of companies displaying was also the highest ever!"

Seminars included presentations by several industry manufacturers, a representative from the Diesel Technology Forum and technical discussions on turbochargers. "The diesel industry's best days are still ahead" declared keynote speaker Bernd Boisten, regional president of Robert Bosch LLC.

In addition to the educational opportunities, attendees were able to visit the 2011 ADS Tradeshow where they could seek out and view the latest in supplies, equipment, parts and other services designed to make their companies more profitable and competitive in today's market place. New this year is the "Virtual Tradeshow," an on-line presentation of an exhibitor's products and services accessible from the ADS website 24 hours 7 days a week.

From the opening "Get Acquainted Reception" to the final "Disco Event" at the Tryst nightclub, the mood of the Convention was upbeat and forward looking! Commenting on his Convention experience attendee Craig Mills posted on the ADS Facebook page, "Thank you to everyone that made it run so well. It was well worth the effort of coming all the way from New Zealand."

ADS now looks forward to the 2012 ADS International Convention & Tradeshow scheduled for July 31 – August 3, 2012 at Disney's Contemporary Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
