GREENSBORO, N. C. – September 14, 2011 – The new Warm Weather Atlas DEF dispenser expands Gasboy's leadership in offering choices for commercial and industrial fleet managers. The new model shares the same reliable components as the standard Atlas DEF model, but does not include a heated cabinet required for locations that can see temperatures approach the DEF freeze point of 12°F. The Atlas line of DEF dispensers will minimize the operator's total cost of ownership by offering choices appropriate for the fleet location's climate.
DEF is required for new heavy transport trucks equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to reduce emissions.
"This warm weather model will help more fleet operators save money by buying DEF in bulk and leveraging their existing fleet management system infrastructure to manage it," said Kevin DeVinney, Gasboy marketing director.
Fleet operators can integrate control and management of DEF seamlessly into their existing cardlock, reporting and management infrastructure. All Atlas DEF dispenser models are fully compatible with Gasboy and other existing fleet management systems because they use the same communication interfaces as standard Gasboy Atlas dispensers. The Atlas DEF dispensers also have the Gasboy footprint to minimize space on existing islands or skid tanks and the same rugged construction as all Gasboy Atlas models. The familiar appearance and user interface complements existing sites, providing a uniform appearance for the operator.
The Gasboy Atlas DEF dispensers are the only commercial dispensers that measures DEF accurately and reliably using a unique, Weights & Measures-approved mass flow meter that has no moving parts. The mass flow meter and hydraulics are stainless steel to protect against the corrosive characteristics of DEF. Special hanging hardware is also designed just for DEF.
Gasboy turnkey fleet fueling and management solutions will be on exhibit at the American Public Works Association (APWA) show, September 18-21, Colorado Convention Center, Denver and also at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show, October 2 - 4, McCormick Place, Chicago.
