LeanDex™ Transportation Index Now Available as Self-Serve Web Application

Holland, MI – LeanLogistics, a global solutions provider of transportation management technology (TMS) applications and supply-chain services – announced today that it is making its LeanDex™ Transportation Index available to the market as a self service application, without requiring the purchaser to subscribe to other LeanLogistics technologies.

LeanDex gives shippers and carriers timely snapshots and ongoing trends of rates for any North American lane. Companies can identify lanes where their rates may be higher, negotiate rate services using better data, and optimize their entire networks.

LeanDex tracks transportation rates for dry van and refrigerated shipments throughout the LeanLogistics transportation network. The network covers all market lanes in North America used by more than 51,000 shippers, suppliers, and trading partners interacting with thousands of carriers.

"LeanDex benefits are industry wide," said Tim Hinson, vice president of Global Supply Chain Services for LeanLogistics. "Our clients using LeanDex have found the index to be a valuable addition to their business intelligence by providing much-needed rate trending data."

LeanDex is a self-serve, Web-based application and helps answer fundamental rate and performance questions for shippers and carriers – How do my rates compare against those of other companies? What are the cost and service trade-offs if I change my transportation strategy? How should I bid or negotiate with a new customer in a region I haven't shipped to previously?
