The Center for Transportation Safety instructor recognized by National Safety Council

Sparks, MD – November 1, 2010 – The Center for Transportation Safety (CTS), a division of PHH Arval, has announced that one of its instructors, Carey Cox, has been recognized by the National Safety Council as the 2009 Defensive Driving Courses Instructor Trainer of the Year.

In announcing the award at its Annual Safety Congress and Exposition in San Diego, the National Safety Council said that winners of its safe driving instruction awards “have gone above and beyond course training responsibilities to demonstrate leadership, dedication and a desire to impact the lives of students.”

A retired state trooper from Colorado, Carey Cox has investigated thousands of crashes and now spends his time as an instructor for CTS, training everyone from teens to CEOs on safe driving principles and techniques. He has been a CTS instructor since 2007.
