Cap Metro Renews Contract with First Transit

CINCINNATI— First Transit, Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services recently renewed its transit contract with Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Cap Metro) in Austin , Texas . Since 2004, First Transit has provided fixed route and university shuttle service for Austin residents and University of Texas students. First Transit operates 107 area transit buses, transporting more than eight million passengers annually.

The new contract takes effect January 4, 2011, and extends the relationship between Cap Metro and First Transit for five years.

First Transit provides complete operations and transit management services as well as comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspection programs to meet customer transportation and budgetary needs.
