Rising Costs of Raw Materials Warrant Price Increase for Firestone Industrial Products

INDIANAPOLIS (USA) (Jan. 31, 2011) — Firestone Industrial Products, LLC today announced an average price increase of five percent on its North American light-duty and heavy-duty air spring products. The increase, driven by the escalating costs of raw materials specifically the unprecedented rise in the cost of natural rubber, is effective April 1, 2011.

“We are committed to managing our product pricing through strategic programs and efficiency improvements internally, however, at this time we’re unable to offset rising market costs,” said John Vincent, president at Firestone Industrial Products.
