Transit Kicks Off Management of Red Apple Transit


CINCINNATI— First Transit, Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services has obtained a transit contract with the Red Apple Transit system in Farmington , N.M. First Transit will operate 11 – transit vehicles, transporting more than 125,000 passengers annually throughout the community. Red Apple Transit provides fixed-route, paratransit and dial-a-ride services to the citizens of Farmington , Aztec, Bloomfield and Kirkland .

First Transit’s contract is for one – year and provides the City three one-year options to continue this relationship. The new contract began January 3, 2011. First Transit provides complete operations and transit management services to meet customer transportation and budgetary needs.
