Create a 60 second commercial that could run during The
Oscars telecast on ABC
August 8, 2013 (MMD Newswire) - - MOFILM, leading content
sourcing agency, today announced that the brief for its global Chevrolet
Oscars® Programme is now live, and invites filmmakers from around the world to
submit a treatment by 16 August 2013 to be in with the chance of receiving
mentorship from industry figures such as Academy Award(R)-winning producer, Jon
Landau or Academy Award- nominated director, Spike Lee. There is also $120,000
available in the form of production grants to help towards the costs of turning
treatment into their film. The film entries should all be uploaded to www.MOFILM.com by 11 November 2013. The Grand
Prize Winner will receive $20,000 and their commercial could air during the
U.S. broadcast of The Oscars on ABC on March 2, 2014. There will also be
regional prizes awarded for the best films from Europe, North America, South
America and the rest of the world.
Chevrolet believes that life isn't just about the big
moments, but that much of life happens between A and B. It wants filmmakers to
capture these small but significant everyday life moments in an emotional and
engaging way. The films should make viewers laugh, cry or even both. Any
filmmaker applying for a grant should demonstrate how they will authentically
incorporate the Chevrolet brand and vehicles into simple, yet significant,
everyday moments.
