(PRINCETON, NJ – AUGUST 1, 2013) -
The ability to tap into the combined knowledge and expertise of experienced and
recognized professionals, all in one location, is an unbeatable value. NAFA is
proud to announce the additions of Steven Saltzgiver, Fleet Operations Group
Director-North America for Coca Cola Refreshments and Kevin Fisher, CAFM, Vice
President Strategic Fleet Operations, ARAMARK, to the faculty for the 3rd
Annual International Fleet Academy this October in Tucson, Arizona.
Saltzgiver and Fisher join an already
stellar group of fleet experts including former NAFA President Gayle Pratt; Joe
LaRosa, NAFA’s current International Vice President; Joe Carreira (the 2012
International Fleet Manager of the Year); and Giovanni Tortorici (the President
of the Italian Association of Managers Buyers and Used Cars -- AIAGA) who were previously
announced.
Steven Saltzgiver oversees a fleet of
over 45,000 domestically, including the largest commercial fleet of Hybrid
Electric trucks in North America, and roughly 200,000 vehicles globally. A
respected and in-demand public speaker, teacher, and author in the fleet
management community, Saltzgiver has appeared as one of the Keynote Speakers
for World Electric Vehicle Summit 2013, in Oslo, Norway, and will be a speaker
at the 2nd Annual Natural Gas Fleet Vehicles Adoption & Operation ROI
Congress in Austin, TX, later this year. He has over 30 years of experience in
the fleet management and public transit industries.
Kevin Fisher, CAFM, was a finalist
for the 2013 Fleet Excellence Award for Excellence in Corporate Fleet
Sustainability Accomplishment and is a nominee for the Fleet Executive of the
Year award. ARAMARK has vehicles covering 19 countries, with approximately
10,000 in North America alone. As NAFA's Philadelphia Chapter Chair, Fisher
interacts with members in one of the nation's key markets, and with companies
that do business all across the world.
"Having Steve (Saltzgiver) and
Kevin (Fisher) as faculty members for the International Fleet Academy adds yet
another layer of fleet expertise," said NAFA’s Executive Director, Phillip
E. Russo, CAE. "They are considered by the industry and by their peers as
leaders in the field. With them on board and interacting with such an already
diverse group of fleet professionals, the coverage of established global
fleets, emerging markets, and operations from one to the other is unmatched.
I'm very proud that the International Fleet Academy has been developed with
that inclusive spectrum in mind."
NAFA’s 3rd annual International Fleet
Academy will take place October 21-23 at Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson, AZ.
The 3-day conference was designed specifically to meet the needs of those who
manage fleets outside of the United States and Canada. In addition to over 15
educational sessions, the conference offers exclusive networking opportunities
and a cocktail reception and dinner each night. Early-bird registration is $650
for NAFA members and $1,105 for non-members. After August 16, registration
costs are $799 for NAFA members and $1,550 for non-members. Fleet professionals
may save $200 off the registration costs by joining NAFA as they register.
Attendees receive several value-added
educational items to take back to the office including a ready-to-use executive
summary; free subscription to International
Fleet World magazine; the newly published NAFA’s Global Fleet Guide; and
valuable checklists for policies, RFIs, and RFQs. All total, it’s a resource
package valued at $2,500 - well worth the registration costs alone.
