THOMASVILLE, North Carolina
(August 7, 2013) – Old Dominion Freight Line was recently honored with Logistic
Management magazine’s “2013 Quest for Quality Award” in both the Expedited
Motor Carriers and Multiregional LTL categories.
This year marks
the ninth-consecutive year Old Dominion has received the award, which
recognizes top performers in the transportation and logistics industry. The
magazine will feature the 30th Annual Quest for Quality Awards in
this month’s issue.
To determine the
winners, Logistics Management distributed an extensive survey to readers
who qualify as buyers of transportation and logistics services. The readers
evaluated carriers on five key measures: on-time performance, company value,
customer service, equipment and operations, and information technology.
“For nine years
now, Logistics Management readers have rated their experiences with Old
Dominion extremely favorably,” said David Congdon, Old Dominion’s president and
CEO. “This kind of positive feedback from our customers motivates us to uphold
our commitment to offering a premium service and reaffirms the OD family’s
tireless dedication to helping the world keep promises.”
Old Dominion
maintains a value proposition that provides customers with on-time delivery,
one of the lowest claims ratios in the industry and award-winning technology at
a fair and reasonable price. By staying true to these promises, the company
continues to expand its nationwide network; Old Dominion recently expanded its
service centers in Fort
Wayne, Ind., and Fort
Smith, Ark.
