Holman Automotive and ARI Annual Donation to the United Way Exceeds One Million Dollars for Third Consecutive Year

MT. LAUREL, NJ (February 6, 2014): Holman Automotive Group and ARI®, a leading global fleet services provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, together have pledged more than $1.1 million to the United Way during their 2013 “Driving Impact” campaign. This marks the third consecutive year that the annual fundraising effort has led to a donation that surpassed the million dollar threshold.

This year’s campaign was also the first national campaign for Holman Automotive and ARI, encompassing all of the organization’s locations within the United States, with the funds raised being channeled directly to the local communities each location serves. Notably, 77 percent of the $1.1 million was designated specifically to the United Way’s Impact Fund, which focuses on four core areas: education, income, health and basic needs. The United Way has found that investment in these four critical areas leads to real and meaningful change.

“Philanthropy and community service have been a very important part of our corporate philosophy and continue to be fundamental to who we are as a company,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Mindy Holman. “We are incredibly proud of our 65-year relationship with the United Way and continue to be amazed by the generosity and dedication of our employees. This commitment embodies my grandfather’s mission to give back to the communities that help to support our success.”

In addition to the fund raising campaign, employees also supported the United Way during the annual Holman/ARI “Day of Caring” on Thursday, October 17, 2013. Together, Holman and ARI employees donated their time, volunteering for various community service initiatives which included painting and yard work at several United Way facilities, engaging in activities with senior citizens at several area community centers, and spending the day working at a local food bank.

The mission of the United Way is to improve the lives of those less fortunate by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. The United Way envisions a world where individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, income stability and healthy living.
