OHL Signs Membership Agreement with Cargo Theft Solutions Provider CargoNet

Brentwood, Tenn. (June 30, 2010) — Global supply chain management company OHL announces its membership in the CargoNet program (www.cargonet.com). Launched in January 2010, CargoNet is a national information-sharing system to prevent cargo theft and help law enforcement recover stolen cargo.

“Cargo theft is a multi-billion dollar a year problem for the logistics industry, and OHL and CargoNet are going to do whatever we can to stop it,” commented John McNamee, director of risk management for OHL. “OHL is involved in and supports cargo theft councils throughout the U.S. The use of CargoNet’s services is a logical step to provide enhanced security for our customers. The team at CargoNet understands the inherent risks in freight management and has a program in place to help OHL and other industry leaders keep our customers’ products out of the hands of thieves.” McNamee participates in many industry and security associations and is an officer and board member of the Mid-South Cargo Security Council.

“Supply chain security is an area of risk that requires a collaborative and multi-layered approach,” added Maurizio Scrofani, CargoNet’s managing director. “We are greatly encouraged by the involvement of an organization like OHL that has such a strong focus on risk management and client service.”
