ROME, GA – Pirelli travels to St. Charles, Illinois July 3-9th for 55th annual Porsche Parade, hosted by the Chicago Chapter of the Porsche Club of America (PCA). The Porsche Parade is the PCA's annual convention and a week-long extravaganza of car events, tech sessions, social events and fun covering anything and everything Porsche, including autocross, rally, tour and concours events.
The Parade’s location in picturesque St. Charles is just 35 miles from downtown Chicago, and Parade headquarters will be located at the Pheasant Run Resort, the Midwest’s largest entertainment resort for the Porsche-centric event. Pirelli Tire North America will be on-hand to offer technical assistance to Parade-goers at the all-Porsche-all-the-time Parade week, and will host the Pirelli Welcome Party the evening of July 3rd at the resort. A drawing will also be held during the Pirelli Welcome Party, giving participants the opportunity to win a new 2011 Porsche Cayenne S. Tickets for the 9 PM “Drive for Hope” drawing are $150 each, and all proceeds will benefit the Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital.
In addition to the Pirelli Welcome Party festivities, Pirelli will also have a booth in the hospitality area in the conference facilities with representatives available to PCA members and guests for technical presentations, fitment and performance education and product demonstrations.
Pirelli technical specialists will also be on hand during the event’s tire panel discussion presentations and the tech sessions, where all attending tire manufacturer representatives present the latest in tire technology and take questions from event participants. Pirelli has donated two sets of tires to be auctioned off for charity, and has also donated copies of the legendary Pirelli Calendar, books, and other door prizes to be given away throughout the week.
In addition to the traditional car related activities attendees can take part in the event’s golf tournament, a 5K Run/Walk, RC Car racing, and the Tech Quiz. There will be numerous tours to local attractions in the greater-Chicago area, as well as free-time to relax and enjoy local flavor.
