CITY (April 27, 2011)— Feed The Children’s core carrier FTC Transportation,
Inc. was awarded Great West Casualty Company’s 2010 Platinum Workplace and
National Safety awards for excellence in maintaining a safe employee work
environment and traffic safety.
FTC
Transportation’s 2010 safety record helped to earn the superlative awards for
the second year.
FTC Transportation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of
international relief organization Feed The Children. Established in 1986, FTC
Transportation assists in the pickup and delivery of hunger relief items and
disaster essentials throughout the United
States as well as competitive truckload hauling
throughout the country as a full-contract carrier.

for safety from Great West Casualty Company,” said Greg Garen, vice president
of FTC Transportation. "FTC Transportation is dedicated to maintaining a
safe track record on the roads and to helping children and families in need in
the United States.”
In addition to the awards,
FTC Transportation and its drivers have also been recognized locally for
excellence in safety. In 2011, the Oklahoma Trucking Association
recognized Jon Atzenhofer with an award for 2010 Professional Driver, and in
the past year, two drivers were recognized for one million miles driven
safely. Thirty of FTC Transportations over-the-road drivers were also recognized
for completing the calendar year with zero preventable accidents or incidents.
