RENO, Nev. – Dec. 1, 2010 – Advanced Refining Concepts, LLC,
(ARC) a privately held developer and manufacturer of proprietary cleaner
burning motor and industrial fuels, today announced that it exceeded its
November fuel sales target of one million gallons by more than 20%. In
November, ARC sold 1,209,639 gallons of GDiesel,
eclipsing the company’s previous monthly sales record of 848,716 gallons sold
in October.
The majority of GDiesel,
which has been
designated as an alternative fuel by the state of Nevada, was sold to major national
truck stop operators in Northern Nevada. During November, ARC also
initiated selling GDiesel to numerous retail and commercial card
lock fueling stations in the Reno and Sparks metropolitan area, including those
owned by Lakeside Shell, Allied Washoe Petroleum, Super Buy and Rainbow
Markets.
“Sales
of GDiesel have been phenomenal, exceeding our
expectations and becoming one of the fastest growing alternative fuels on the
market,” said Peter Gunnerman, director of Advanced Refining Concepts. “The
fact that our product does not require modifications to engines, vehicles or
storage equipment and does not rely on government subsidies, is clearly
striking a positive note with our rapidly expanding customer base.”
GDiesel
is being produced
at ARC’s Peru Heights refinery located in Storey County, Nev. The refinery,
which began operating in August, is in the latter stages of an expansion phase
and will double the daily output of GDiesel
production to
200,000 gallons. The Phase II expansion is on schedule and expected to be
completed in January, 2011. The refinery sits on 10 acres owned by the company
at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, a 107,000 acre industrial park located
approximately nine miles east of Reno, Nev.
“The expansion of our Peru Heights
facility will allow us to meet our five million gallon per month GDiesel
sales target by
mid-year 2011.” said Gunnerman. “We are currently evaluating additional
regional refinery projects that we anticipate breaking ground during 2011.”
