Chevin Fleet Solutions, the Chatswood-based asset management consultancy and software house, has announced yet another year of international growth (Financial year to September 2010) – flying in the face of the current situation where just financial stability is seen as success. Not so for Chevin, as after twenty years of service to fleet managers across the globe, the makers of FleetWave and RoadBASE is showing no signs of slowing down.
With an impressive client roster including the World Food Program, PJM Fleet, Star Track Express, Volkswagen and Harley Davidson Australia, Chevin’s ability to increase the operating efficiency of organisations has seen it thrive in the most challenging sectors since its establishment in 1990.
Chevin launched its advanced desktop-based fleet management application RoadBASE in its first year, followed by FleetWave in 2001, making it the world’s first web-based system, and went on to open its American arm in Fitchburg in 2002, and Australian offices in 2008. Chevin now supplies businesses across all five continents, and most recently won its first customers in New Zealand and Indonesia. An unwavering dedication to product improvement, business expansion and providing the highest levels of service in the industry are the holy trinity when it comes to Chevin’s success, as managing director and founder Ashley Sowerby confirms:
“When I started developing fleet software back in the late eighties I knew the products would change the market, but, like anything, couldn’t be sure of their longevity. Looking back twenty years on its very satisfying to see how far we’ve come. It’s not all been plain sailing, but the last twenty years has been a hugely enjoyable and rewarding journey. As well as developing new functionality to keep the products at the forefront of industry, the things that stand out have to be setting up the international offices and the awards we’ve won.”
In addition to financial success and widespread industry recognition, Chevin has also achieved Microsoft Accredited Partner status, and is on track to attain the software giant’s Gold standard. This recognises that both FleetWave and RoadBASE, the Company’s two core fleet management software products, are engineered to the highest specifications, as set out by Microsoft.
In true Chevin style 2010 has been a year of progress, with a business restructuring meaning the company is once again ready to take another big step forward.
