Metropolitan Council Renews Fixed-Route Contract with First Transit

CINCINNATI— The Metropolitan Council, which serves Minneapolis - St. Paul area, recently approved a 5-year contract renewal with First Transit to continue operating fixed-route services as part of the regional transit system. At this location, First Transit operates 25 vehicles on express and local fixed routes, employs 41 employees and transports more than 1.15 million passengers annually.

The contract is effective October 1, continuing a 22-year relationship between First Transit and the Metropolitan Council.
