Mighty Auto Parts Recognizes Georgia Service Center Owner for Community Giving

Columbus, Ga. – October 10, 2013 National automotive aftermarket parts distributor Mighty Auto Parts recently recognized the volunteerism and charitable work of its business partners with the “Mightiest of the Mighty” awards. David Epperly, owner of Epperly Tire in Columbus, Ga., was selected for his groundbreaking Changing Oil, Changing Lives program that raises thousands of dollars for different local and national charities each month. Bobby Williams from Eden Prairie, Minn. and Keith Boyd from Columbus, Ohio were also recognized.
Epperly’s Changing Oil, Changing Lives program gives proceeds from all oil changes completed on the third Wednesday of each month to a designated charity. In addition to receiving the donation, each participating charity is also invited to set up information booths at each of Epperly Tire’s three locations to educate customers about their organization and grow awareness for their cause.
“David Epperly has set a shining example for our customers and for the automotive service industry,” said Ken Voelker, president and CEO of Mighty Auto Parts “We are proud to call him a customer of more than 20 years and could not be happier to contribute to his efforts in the Columbus community.”
Since starting the program three years ago, Epperly Tire has given more than $30,000 to a dozen charities such as the American Cancer Society, Toys for Tots, The Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill.
