RAY WEST APPOINTED TO LEAD INNOVATIVE OPERATIONS FOR TMW SYSTEMS

CLEVELAND, Ohio – TMW Systems announced today the appointment of Ray West as Vice President and General Manager of its Nashville, Tenn.-based Innovative software business. West, a 20-year veteran of the transportation software industry, was most recently VP of Product Management and GM of the TL2000 business, based in Indianapolis, Ind.

Since the acquisition of Innovative Computing Corporation by TMW in November of 2009, West has led the integration of that business into TMW’s North American operations. West will also continue to lead the TL2000 business as a separate entity.

“We are fortunate to have an experienced and customer-focused executive like Ray to take on this important leadership role with our Innovative team,” said David Wangler, President and CEO of TMW Systems. “Ray has already established himself as a knowledgeable advocate in the trucking and transportation community with his extensive IT background and many years spent as a customer himself of TMW Systems. He brings a results-oriented perspective, informed by technical and industry experience, to his new responsibilities that we’re sure will benefit our many loyal customers running Innovative software. ”

After service in the Marine Corps, West helped found a number of privately-held companies, including Thoroughbred Systems, which developed mobile communications and dispatching software. He served as Vice President, Information Technology, for Atlas Van Lines, leading a major technology initiative that transformed critical business systems. While with Atlas, he was an active member of the TMWSuite Advisory Board, working with fellow customers to guide software product direction. He later joined Qualcomm Incorporated of San Diego, Calif., as Director, Product Development, for several years before returning to his roots in the Midwest to work with TMW Systems in 2007, based in its Indianapolis office. West has built strong ties in the transportation community with firms running operations on the IBM i operating platform in his role as GM of TMW’s TL2000 software.

West holds a Masters in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University and will be relocating to the Nashville area with his family. He will succeed Debbie Betancourt as GM with Innovative. Betancourt has provided crucial business and customer support continuity for the Innovative organization during the important transition period following the acquisition by TMW Systems.
