Saint
Louis, Jan. 12, 2012 – MetroGistics, a full-service vehicle
transportation company, has announced that Managing Partner William Billiter
has been named to the St. Louis
Business Journal’s prestigious 40 Under 40 class for 2012. Billiter and his
fellow honorees will be recognized at a special awards event Feb. 9 at the Chase
Park Plaza.
Billiter
and business partner Scott Naz started MetroGistics in 2010 with the intent of
utilizing cutting-edge technology to provide full-service vehicle
transportation, storage and ancillary services. Today, the company employs 12
workers and has shipped tens of thousands of vehicles for various clients
including new car manufacturers, dealers and car rental agencies.
Billiter
started in the auto transport industry in 1997 as a driver for a car
dealership, and helped them establish a separate large transport organization.
He is a graduate of University of Missouri-St. Louis and enjoys spending spare
time with his family, including his wife and two stepsons. He is also actively
involved with the Humane Society.
The
40 Under 40 Awards recognize professionals under age 40 who are movers and
shakers both in business and in the community. This year, judges received more
than 450 nominations. Full profiles of the winners will appear in the Jan. 27
issue of the St. Louis Business Journal.
“Anyone
who is familiar with William will tell you he puts his heart and soul into his
work and is absolutely dedicated to doing things the right way,” said Naz. “We
at MetroGistics are very happy for him and congratulate him on this
well-deserved award.”
