The Rear Truck Door Remote

BRONX, NY—The Rear Truck Door Remote is a cab-controlled, automated lock for a semi=-trailer's door. Once the driver has unlocked the door from within the cab, he or she will use an Up/Down control panel by the trailer door to activate an electric motor to lift or lower the door. The design intent of the Rear Truck Door Remote is to save commercial truck drivers the time and labor currently spent in manually locking or unlocking the trailer door, as well as the time and effort involved in lifting or lowering the door.

The Rear Truck Door Remote was invented by Louie Simmons of Bronx, NY. He said, “This device will relieve tractor-trailer drivers of the physical labor they now undertake at the beginning and the end of their highway journeys. All a driver need do is press the button in the cab to unlock the trailer door — no need to scramble up on the tailgate and open a conventional padlock. Then, while standing on the pavement the drive can press the Up button on the lift-and-lower control panel situated beside the door. Easy does it when using this new product. Professional drivers will benefit and appreciate the Rear Truck Door Remote.”
