Schneider National Awarded Walmart’s 2011 General Merchandise Diamond Carrier of the Year

GREEN BAY, Wis. – (January 11, 2012) – Schneider National, Inc., a premier provider of transportation, logistics and intermodal services, has been selected as Walmart’s 2011 General Merchandise Diamond Carrier of the Year. The award was presented to Schneider National at Walmart’s annual carrier conference in Rogers, Ark.

“In going above and beyond to exceed expectations, Schneider has continuously separated themselves from other carrier partners in the field,” said Ken Braunbach, senior director of carrier relations at Walmart, in a letter of commendation. “The company’s overall dedication to customer service, operational excellence and ability to provide creative solutions to complex supply chain opportunities sets them apart and raises the bar for quality in the industry.”

This award isn’t the first time the retailer has honored Schneider National for its overall performance. In 2007 Walmart presented the company with the Intermodal Carrier of the Year award, and in 2009 Schneider National’s China operation received the Most Contribution Award from Walmart China for its response to the earthquake disaster.

Walmart awards general merchandise Carrier of the Year awards in three categories, with Diamond being for the largest carrier partners.
