SAN DIEGO – January 17, 2012 – PureForge™, a corporation
that develops innovative products using its revolutionary Atomic-Forging™
technology, announces the issuance of U.S. Patent Number 8,084,089 on December
27, 2011. The patent protects the PureForge Atomic-Forging technology as
applied to a braking system, the process that uses a lightning-like effect to
produce an ultra-hard and wear-resistant metal surface.
PureForge uses the Atomic-Forging process to manufacture
brake rotors that outlast, outperform, and create less toxic brake dust than any
other current automotive brake offering. The company currently markets their
brake technology and products to law enforcement vehicle fleets.
“We are very pleased with the issuance of our initial
patent focused on the use of our Atomic-Forging Technology and are diligently
working to build a formidable IP portfolio in this specific field of use,” said
Nathan K. Meckel, co-founder of PureForge and inventor of the Atomic-Forging
technology. While this is the first issued patent for PureForge, the patent process
is nothing new for Meckel, who has received nine U.S. patents and multiple
international patents over the course of his metallurgy career.
PureForge has multiple patents pending with the United
States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as several international
applications, and is anticipating the issuance of additional patents in the
next few months.
