GREEN BAY, WI (July 21, 2011) – Master Fleet, LLC,
announced today that it has hired Tom Anderson as its vice
president of finance and operations. In this role, Anderson will lead Master Fleet’s internal operations including
service, parts, and financial areas.
Since
2003, Anderson has served as senior vice
president of operations and finance for GENCO Inc. of Green Bay. In this capacity, he was
responsible for GENCO’s Transporation Management team, which provides
out-sourced transporation and logistics solutions to customers. With
specialized training in Lean, Six Sigma and Process Re-Engineering, Anderson led his team at
GENCO to significant growth in revenues and profits.
In
signing Anderson
on to the Master Fleet team, Larry Chaplin, president of Master Fleet noted, “I

Anderson began his logistics career in 1985,
working for Schneider National as a controller responsible for all equipment
purchases and maintenance costs. He became vice president of pricing for
Schneider Specialized Carriers in 1994. In 1997, he was promoted to
general manager of Schneider Specialized Carriers, becoming vice president of
process re-engineering for the company in 2002.
Anderson holds a Masters
of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a
Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Recognized in the industry as a “Pro You Should Know,” Anderson sits on the
University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix Fund Board of Directors. He also
coaches youth in the area on improving their basketball skills, teaching them
about work ethic and teamwork.
Master
