Mississauga, Ontario (July 14, 2011) - Petro-Canada
announced enhancements to the On-Site Refuelling program today. The service
delivers diesel fuel directly to fleet vehicles, construction equipment and
marine vessels, whenever is convenient.
The On-Site Refuelling program
allows users to maximize operating hours by scheduling fuelling, reducing
downtime, and eliminating the need to handle, refill or track fuel storage
on-site. During the fuelling process an automated solution is used to capture
fuelling volumes by vehicle. This information is then transmitted to
Petro-Canada’s secure website where individualized reporting is available for
tracking budgets, and generating detailed volume and product price reports for
the entire fleet and equipment. With customized reporting and availability,
increased opportunities to control and manage business begin. Online reports
for individual yards or a whole fleet are available in one central location -
24 hours a day.
“The recent addition of On-Site
Refuelling builds on our existing industry-leading position in retail and wholesale
fuelling in Canada,”
says Howard McIntyre, Vice-President Marketing. “Our focus at Petro-Canada is
to meet all of our customers fuelling and lubricants needs - from end-to-end.”
Time spent by operators and
drivers waiting to refuel equipment or driving to a fuelling station to fill up
can be eliminated. With On-Site Refuelling, equipment is ready to go as soon as
employees arrive for their shift. Without bulk storage of fuel on-site, the danger
of theft and environmental risk can be reduced and less fuel is held in
inventory.
At Petro-Canada, safety is a
critical part of business. On-Site Refuelling safety processes and procedures
are in place, and specialized equipment is used to ensure fuel solutions are
delivered with safety as the priority. All drivers receive comprehensive
training for On-Site Refuelling to ensure that vehicles are refuelled in a safe
and reliable manner.
Petro-Canada is proud to offer
the nation’s largest network of on-road commercial fuelling centres, including
more than 200 Petro-Pass locations across Canada, and a large network of
distributors from coast to coast to meet bulk on-site fuel or lubricants needs.
